March 2014

March was a whirl wind of activity. March 1^st was a tennis social without tennis(rain) and with dinner. We said goodbye to good friends and neighbors Frank and Marie Sullivan who decided to sell their Florida home and just stay north. They will be missed.

There were lots of boat rides(cocktail cruises).

Diane’s Birthday was celebrated at Jetty’s w/Sharpnacks with bridge and dinner at Weber’s.

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a golf scramble and dinner. We spent a couple days reframing some of Diane’s art work for the Art show. Joe and I got to play each other in the “D” flight club championship, but our hearts where really focused on going to Hawks Cay on the 30^th to be with the kids for a week. The weather was perfect!

We had given them the trip for Christmas. They flew into Miami and rented cars while Diane and I drove from here after loading up at Sam’s and Costco. The 30^th was a day of shopping travel and unpacking. We had a villa overlooking the Marina with a wrap around screened porch while the kids were booked in pool side rooms at the hotel. Diane pulled out all the stops and had everything perfectly planned. When the kids arrived they each had a special basket of goodies(snacks) with new clothes(beachwear and resort outfits) and toys waiting in their rooms for them. It was a perfect setting for a perfect vacation. Everything went well. It was great. Thank you Diane!
