Played in the member-guest tournament with my friend Dick Palczynski.  The weather was perfect and we had a great front nine holes shooting a 34, which was really fun.  It was a two man scramble and we did really well for 11 holes.  WonÕt talk about the last 7.  We played with my buddy Joe Sharpnack and his brother-in-law Dale Rider from Orlando.  Joe and Dale came in first place.  We all had fun playing together.  On one hole Dick and I were in the trap so we had to hit out of the sand.  Dick had a wonderful shot and put the ball about a foot from the hole.  My first reaction was that I didnÕt even need to bother hitting but then I decided to do it for practice.  The darn thing went in the hole for a sandie birdie 2!  So never waste a shot.  You never know what can happen in golf.

DianeÕs birthday was celebrated with good friends Jan and Joe Sharpnack.  We went to JettyÕs for some of the best fish around.  The view from their outdoor patio/deck cannot be beat.  Their view of the lighthouse is symbolic of all the reasons we are here.  Jupiter is just a special place.

We hosted a Sandbar party to celebrate the day and the tide.  We brought lunch (subs) for all of our friends and enjoyed the perfect weather on the sandbar.  Had tons of food and we went home fully satisfied.

We were invited by our friends Steve and Sunny Cole to play in the St. Patricks Day golf tournament at the Dunes Golf course.  It is a tough par 3 course appropriately dubbed the ÒLittle Monster!Ó  Steve and Sunny had a good day and they took home the first place prize.  Yeah!  Good weather and good golf followed by lunch afterward.  Very enjoyable.

Went to dinner with the Webers.  We went to WylderÕs as they had not been there and we wanted to give them the experience. After dinner we spotted this boat.  It was obscene!  A walk around center console  that was 50-54Õ long with four 300hp outboard motors.  Makes for quick fishing?

After we left the restaurant we went next door to another tiki bar.  While there we watched as they cleaned some Cobia.  The fish here is truly fresh.  These were speared at 120Õ while scuba diving and they fill the entire wheelbarrow.  Now that is some good eating.

Spent the week matting and framing DianeÕs water colors for the big Art Show today.  She sold two of her pieces.  She really enjoys it.  I think she is pretty good too.  The cherry blossoms are my favorite.

Had a new Bubba Gumps restaurant opened yesterday.  Noticed people eating on their deck there yesterday while on a boat ride.  Decided to give it a try.  DidnÕt expect much as it was just their second day being open.  As we expected, we waited in the bar for 50 minutes.  We had requested an outside table and you have to wait, but the view is spectacular when dining outside.  The lighthouse at night is special when viewed across the intracoastal  waterway.  When our food did not arrive and the people surrounding us were getting their food, we asked for the manager.  After checking he returned to the table and asked, ÒDid you cancel your order?Ó  Well it took a while but we did get our food and for free.  Thanks Bubba.

Got up early and took Tinker to the Beach for the sunrise.  Stopped off at McDonalds for breakfast on the way.  You never know what the horizon will bring.  That day there was a cloud cover over the ocean.  DidnÕt have a sunrise until it cleared the cloud bank.  WeÕll have to go back.

We helped Kurt host the end of the year Tennis Social.  Bought 3 tenderloins at Costco and cut them into steaks which George and I cooked on the grills at the clubhouse.  We fed 38 people w/o a single complaint.  It was a fitting end to a wonderful season.
